City Takes Silver in Website Competition

The International Academy of the Visual Arts has conferred the prestigious silver W3 Award upon the City of Lake Elsinore for its fresh and informative new Web site. The City's new site was designed and developed in partnership with Vision Internet, Inc., based in Santa Monica, CA. The site was launched in January of 2009. W3 Silver Award

According to City Manager Robert A. Brady, "The real winners are citizens who turn to the City's Web site for daily news updates and online tools and information about living, playing and doing business in Lake Elsinore."

"The City's Web site is a huge success because of the hard working staff who effectively transposed their daily knowledge and expertise into a robust online resource for the public we serve," said Brady.

According to a news release, the IAVA is an assembly of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.

The W3 Awards program honors superior creativity on the Web and recognizes the individuals behind award winning web sites, Web advertising and Web video.
