Central Avenue/Hwy 74 Construction Set to Begin

Began Sept. 5, Expected Completion is December 2017.

In July, Caltrans initiated a sewer project on Highway 74/Central Avenue between Dexter and Conard Avenue. As a result, several lanes were closed and/or altered along this roadway.

Below are details about this project as provided by Caltrans.  

Project Location: SR-74 from Dexter Avenue to Conard Avenue

Project Description: Install a vehicle rinse facility inside the existing Caltrans Maintenance Station on Conard Avenue, and install an eight-inch sewer line extending from the Maintenance Station to the center of SR-74 and continue along the center of SR-74 to the intersection of Dexter Avenue.

Project Duration: This project is expected to officially begin on Tuesday, September 5 and is anticipated to last until December 2017. 

Other Impacts: Between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. the traffic signals will be flashing at Dexter, Cambern and Conard.
