Central Avenue/Hwy 74 Slurry Seal Project
Begins November 6, Expected Completion is Late November
The City has executed an agreement with the County of Riverside to Slurry Seal Central Ave from the City limit with Perris to Conard Ave. The project goal is to seal any existing cracks in the pavement and to slurry the full width of the pavement to protect it from deterioration. All striping and pavement markings will be replaced upon the completion of the slurry work.
Project Location: SR-74/Central Avenue from Bellamo Lane (Perris) to Conard Avenue (Lake Elsinore)
Within City Limits: SR-74/Central Avenue from Crumpton Road to Conard Avenue
Project Description: The roadway surface improvements consist of applying a slurry seal (Type 2), crack sealing. Work also includes the replacement of pavement markings including crosswalks and bike lane markings. Traffic control and advisory signs will be in place to ensure safety during the performance of the work.
Project Duration: This project is expected to officially begin on Monday, November 6th. The work within the city of Lake Elsinore limits will begin on Monday, November 20th.
Future Activity: The City is prepared to extend the Slurry Seal project between Conard Avenue to Dexter Avenue. However, this project remains contingent on the ultimate completion of the existing Caltrans projects along this segment of roadway. Find out more.
