CERT participants learn about hazards and risks for our area, disaster preparedness and basic response tactics and skills. The training provides hands on experience in:

  • Fire Safety
  • Basic Search and Rescue
  • Team Organization
  • Disaster Medical Aid

Free CERT training is offered several times a year. The course requires a committment of 20 hours spread over a three day period. CERT trainees participate in a realistic disaster simulation the third day. Training is held in the Cultural Center, 183 North Main Street.

CERT participants unanimously recommend the training to men and women over age 18 who want to protect property, lives and make a difference in the community.
