Fish Surveys Underway in LE to Improve Water Quality

Survey Event # 2 to take place September 24, 2019

Post Date:09/05/2019 1:31 PM

Did you know earlier this month a team of scientists, city officials, and volunteers worked together to collect, count, measure, weigh and tag fish in Lake Elsinore? They sure did, but why? The City is working hard to make continuous efforts to preserve our natural freshwater lake by maintaining a balanced fishery. The project is funded by the Lake Elsinore & Watersheds Authority.

The next fish survey capturing date will take place on Tuesday September 24, 2019. Fish enthusiasts and volunteers are needed and welcomed to assist in this great opportunity to part-take in sustaining the lakes overall health.

Are you a local fishing enthusiast? Interested in hands-on tagging? Become a volunteer and join us at our next event on Tuesday September 24, 2019. Sign up at www.lake-elsinore.org/fishsurvey
