COVID-19: Local Meal Programs
Meal Resources Available
Starting this Friday (March 20), the City in partnership with the Riverside County Office of Aging Sodexo Program will distribute frozen meals to local seniors who register to participate. The meals will be available for pick up every Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Lake Elsinore Senior Center.
Free meals: Frozen meal distribution include 7 meals per senior per week to local seniors who register to participate.
- You must be a Lake Elsinore resident and at least 60 years old (identification required).
- Make a reservation by 12:00 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the pick-up date by calling the Senior Center at (951) 674-2526.
- Complete and turn in a ‘Senior Intake Form’ prior to pick-up. Form is available at the Lake Elsinore Senior Center. You can call (951) 674-2526 to arrange to pick up a form or download and fill it out here to bring to the Senior Center.
- The 'Senior Intake Form' only needs to be filled out and turned in once.
Pick Up by Seniors: Seniors 60 years of age or older who adhere to the requirements.
Pick Up by Volunteers: Family members or friends of senior participants can pick up meals for seniors 60 years of age or older; however, they must have the ID of the senior participant.
Home Delivery: The Home Delivered Meals Program is for individuals 60 years of age or older who may be at nutrition risk due to transportation or health issues that prevent them from taking care of their own nutritional needs. For those interested in this program, please call the Riverside County Office of Aging at 1-800-510-2020.
