Construction Update: The latest upcoming work planned under the Citywide Slurry Seal Project is Area C in Tuscany Hills starting January 12, 2021. View a map/handout with the latest schedule for Tuscany Hills.

About this Project:

The Citywide Slurry Seal Project officially began in September 2020 and consists of pavement slurry, traffic striping, and other repairs in several areas throughout the City. This project was announced on July 15, 2020 and bids were opened publicly on August 10, 2020. The low bidder was All American Asphalt at a total cost of $1,326, 273.00.

The City uses a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) when determining what roadways to repair in the City. The City's last Pavement Condition Survey was completed in October 2017 to determine the PCI for all AC Pavement Surfaces throughout the City. This survey allows the City to identify the condition of the pavement and the appropriate method for rehabilitation depending on the level of deterioration. The average PCI Rating of City streets was 71 on a scale from 0 to 100.

Notices will be sent to residents in advance and signage will be posted on streets appropriately. During the slurry seal phase, all efforts will be made to avoid impacting trash service and residents are urged to avoid driving on the roads for several hours.
