Citywide Slurry Seal Project

The Citywide Slurry Seal Project is planned to start in September 2020 and will consist of pavement slurry, traffic striping, and other repairs. This project was announced on July 15, 2020 and bids were opened publicly on August 10, 2020. The low bidder was All American Asphalt at a total cost of $1,326, 273.00.

The City uses a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) when determining what roadways to repair in the City. The City's last Pavement Condition Survey was completed in October 2017 to determine the PCI for all AC Pavement Surfaces throughout the City. This survey allows the City to identify the condition of the pavement and the appropriate method for rehabilitation depending on the level of deterioration. The average PCI Rating of City streets was 71 on a scale from 0 to 100.

Project Location: 4 areas of the City will receive roadway improvements

  • Type II Slurry Seal on a total of 3,836,600 sq. ft. 
  • Grind & Overlay for Diamond Drive

Cost: $1,326,273.00

Construction Start Date: September 2020

Estimated Construction Completion: December 2020
