Applicants Sought for Measure Z Citizen Committee

Applications are now open to serve on the Measure Z Citizen Committee for City Council Districts 2, 4, & 5. The deadline to apply is Friday, January 21st at 4:00 p.m.
Measure Z is a locally controlled one-cent, or one percent, transactions and use tax to generate unrestricted general fund dollars to address City service, public safety, and local recovery needs. The Measure Z Citizen Committee reviews and advises upon the spending and use of Measure Z funding. The committee provides for financial transparency and ensures the funding is used based on the priorities identified by the community.
The committee is comprised of five members, one member from each city council district, who serve for up to two years. The new members from Districts 2, 4, and 5 will serve until December 31, 2023.
Applicants may only apply for the council district they reside in. To be eligible for this committee, you must be a Lake Elsinore resident who is over the age of 18 and does NOT currently serve on any city commission, NOT employed by the city, or does NOT have an existing contract with the city.
Completed applications may be submitted online, e-mailed, or personally filed with or mailed to the City Clerk’s Department located at City Hall, 130 S. Main Street, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.
