Free Smart Phone Graffiti Application Available to Lake Elsinore Citizens

The Lake Elsinore Smart Phone Graffiti Application “SeeClickFix” allows citizens to use their smartphones to report specific types of incidents such as graffiti, abandoned vehicles, potholes, flooding, etc., to the City. Staff is notified of the incident through email and the request is channeled to the correct department for resolution. Once the incident has been resolved, City staff will update the status of the request which then triggers a notice to be sent to the concerned citizen that the incident has been addressed.

Citizens can download the “SeeClickFix” application for free and is available for the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry Phones by visiting their respective smartphone application stores. The official rollout of this program is August 1, 2012 with notification(s) going to the City website, Facebook, and Twitter subscribers.

Benefits that can be identified from the “SeeClickFix” smartphone application are:

  • Increased community involvement and improved customer service
  • A “second set of eyes” to identify issues in the community
  • Increased City beautification
  • Increased staff efficiency in the abatement process
  • The City’s response time dramatically lowers
  • Data tracking showing potential “hot spots” in the City

The smartphone application makes it easier to report and keeps up with the technology tools available to our citizens. This notification tool does not replace or eliminate reporting options for citizens that include telephone, letters, City website, and email.
