City of Lake Elsinore City Council to recognize two residents who were awarded Congressional Gold Medals

At the regularly scheduled City Council meeting of Tuesday, September 25, 2012, Mayor Brian Tisdale and the Lake Elsinore City Council will be officially recognizing Edward “Eddie” Hicks and Dave Jones, both members of the Montford Point Marines Association.
Mr. Hicks and Mr. Jones, both of Lake Elsinore, will receive official recognition of being awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, which took place on June 27, 2012. The City Council meeting commences at 7:00 p.m. and is held at the City’s Cultural Center located at 183 North Main Street, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.
In addition Riverside County Supervisor Bob Buster, Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries, and Senator Bill Emmerson will also be in attendance for this special recognition.
