K-9 Veterans’ Day of Observance

Honoring Those in Service

Post Date:03/06/2013 12:00 PM

The public is invited to a ceremony to honor our retired K-9 Veterans. Trained and skilled dogs have traditionally been used by the military and law enforcement for decades. Today, we see more dogs in service as companions, aides and in therapy, as well as support to military and law enforcement. Our retired "Veterans" deserve their rest and our gratitude. Fourteen states have led the charge by creating a day to observe the dedication of these service animals, their handlers and colleagues in the field; both human and canine. Please join us along with some local "Veterans" as we observe and honor their service.
