The Finance Division oversees operations of accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as well as applicable laws, regulations and City policies.
Specific functions designed to uphold fiscal responsibility include:
Cash management; cashiering; banking services; accounts payables; accounts receivables; business license administration; payroll; recordation of financial transactions; fiscal oversight of bond districts; grant management; investment portfolio administration and reporting; financial audit management; operating budget administration and reporting; capital improvement budget administration and reporting; annual financial report preparation; and internal control management.
