Full-time City employees are eligible for the following benefits:

 

MEDICAL
  • HMO and PPO choices are available through CalPERS
  • Covers employee and all eligible dependents
  • The City currently contributes up to $1,325 per month towards employee's plan of choice ($1,350 as of 7/1/20)
DENTAL
  • PPO plan available through The Guardian
  • Covers employee and all eligible dependents
  • City pays 100% of monthly premium for employee and all eligible dependents
VISION
  • PPO plan available through VSP
  • Covers employee and all eligible dependents
  • City pays 100% of monthly premium for employee and all eligible dependents
LIFE
  • Plan available through The Standard 
  • Regular employees - $50,000 policy
  • Managers - $100,000 policy
  • Directors - $150,000 policy
  • City Manager - $270,000 policy
  • City pays 100% of monthly premium
EAP
  • Benefit available through The Standard
  • Covers employee and all eligible dependents
  • City pays 100% of monthly premium

CALPERS
RETIREMENT

  • 2% @ 60 for legacy employees
    • Employee contribution is 7%
  • 2% @ 62 for new members
    • Employee contribution is 6.75%

  • City will reimburse up to $3,250 for pre-approved, eligible educational expenses
BOOT REIMBURSEMENT
  • City will reimburse up to $150 per fiscal year for eligible positions
