The City Clerk is the local official who administers democratic processes such as elections, access to City records, and all legislative actions ensuring transparency to the public. The City Clerk acts as the Compliance Officer for Federal, State and local statutes including the Political Reform Act, the Brown Act and the Public Records Act. The City Clerk's department manages public inquiries and relationships and arranges for ceremonial and official functions.
The City Clerk is appointed by the City Council and the department is responsible for the following:
Management of City Records Conducts Municipal Elections
Public Records Requests Legal notices
Certifies Records Claims/Subpoenas
Council, Agency and Authority Agendas Secretary to the Oversight Board
Administers Oaths and Affirmations Contract Management
Filing officer for:
Campaign Disclosure Statements and Statements of Economic Interest
Custodian of the Official Seal of the City of Lake Elsinore
Boards, Commissions and Committees Applications and Rosters
