2020 General Municipal Election

The 2020 General Municipal Election will be the second By-District election in Lake Elsinore's history.  On February 1, 2018, the City switched from At-Large elections (all registered voters get to vote for all open seats) to By-District elections (only registered voters in the district seat which is open get to vote for that seat).

The election for Districts 2, 4, and 5 and for the City Treasurer will be held on November 3, 2020. Find my District

The Nomination Period will be open beginning Monday, July 13, 2020 and will close at 4:00p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020. To submit a request to verify eligibility and request an appointment with the City Clerk, please complete the Candidate Eligibility and Nomination Appointment Request Form.

 Write-In Candidacy begins on September 7th.
