We believe community involvement is so important, we made it our mission. As the Community Services Department, it is our duty, and also a privilege, to serve our community. Being involved with our community is all about building relationships: with the community, with business leaders, with area businesses, and most importantly, with the citizens of those communities.

Volunteers are an important part of many events; if you would like to volunteer, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 951-674-3124 ext 290. Teens, ages 15 years or older, may volunteer for Special Events earning community service hours required for graduation.

EGGAPALOOZA - MARCH 31ST, 2018

This free event will be held at McVicker Canyon Park, 29355 Grand Avenue from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Egg Hunt begins promptly at 1:00 p.m. and for ages 2 to 8 years old.

NEW! Paint a MOMent - May 11, 2018

Join us at the Lake Elsinore Senior Center, 420 E Lakeshore Drive on Friday, May 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This will be a  fun night of socializing, creating and celebrating moms with snacks and refreshments, while producing a personal work of art to take home! No previous skill or art experience necessary! Each person will receive a 4x4 tile and can create a design of their own. Brushes and paint will be supplied. All ages are welcome! Registration is $6 per person and available online!

This event is held at the entrance of the Diamond Stadium Levee, 500 Diamond Drive from 9 am to 11 am. The walk will begin promptly at 9 am.

National Safe Boating Week: Paddleboard Adventure Cruise - May 19, 2018

Come out to our Aquatic Center at La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch from 8 am to 12 pm as we promote safety awareness on the water! Participants will be able to participate in a life jacket exchange & giveaway
*paddling is weather dependent, one lifejacket per party.

NEW! Day Downtown - May 19, 2018

On Saturday, May 19th 2018, from 12 to 5 p.m., celebrate Lake Elsinore’s 130th birthday along downtown Main Street. Lake Elsinore is celebrating its rich history and is taking steps to preserve it for generations to come. Bring your whole family as we have an afternoon full of fun activities for all to enjoy!

Activities will include: social media scavenger hunt, “Snap the Past”, tours of our historical museum, recognition of Armed Forces Day, a walk-around tasting event, “Taste of LE”, live entertainment, and local vendors and activities for all ages.

Just 4 Kids Fishing Derby  - June 2, 2018

The annual Just 4 Kids Fishing Derby returns to La Laguna Resort, 32040 Riverside Drive from 7:30 to 10:30 am for its 16th year! NOW IN PARTNERSHIP WITH RIVCO PARKS! Kids ages 15 years and younger are invited to fish for prizes. Participants are required to bring their own rod, reel & tackle.

The popular program will be continuing at Summerlake Park, 900 Broadway Street on selected Wednesday nights starting at 8 pm. 

Admission is FREE. Spectators are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for comfortable viewing. Each night, kids will be invited to participate in movie-themed activities. All showings are rated

G or PG.

NEW! Party in the Park - 4th of July

This year’s Independence Day Celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 4th at Summerly Park, 18505 Malaga Road from 9 am to 1 pm. Bring the whole family out for a morning of family-friendly activities. This event will feature a car show, kid fun zone, vendors, and music. The morning will start out with our first annual Kid’s Bike Parade, where children can decorate their bike’s, trikes, wagons, and scooters and ride with pride in a parade around the park. The City will have decorating supplies for children who would like to participate.

NEW! Family Fun Night - July 14, 2018

The Community Services Department is celebrating National Parks and Recreation month by throwing a Family Fun Night on July 14 from 6 to 8 pm at Summerly Park, 18505 Malaga Road. This evening will consist of kickball tournament and food. First 200 people will receive a hot dog, chips, and water.

National Night Out - August 2, 2018 

We are teaming up with local law enforcement agencies, fire department, and Storm baseball to provide a safe night out for families at the Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Drive from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Meet your local officers, firefighters, display vehicles, free activities and so much more! Kids ages 12 years and younger will receive free entry to the Storm game that evening starting at 6:00 p.m.
