We believe community involvement is so important, we made it our mission. As the Community Services Department, it is our duty, and also a privilege, to serve our community. Being involved with our community is all about building relationships: with the community, with business leaders, with area businesses, and most importantly, with the citizens of those communities.

Volunteers are an important part of many events; if you would like to volunteer, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 951-674-3124 ext 290. Teens, ages 15 years or older, may volunteer for Special Events earning community service hours required for graduation.

Movies in the Park, After Dark.

The popular program will be continuing at Summerlake Park, 900 Broadway Street on selected Wednesday nights starting at 8 pm. 

Admission is FREE. Spectators are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for comfortable viewing. Each night, kids will be invited to participate in movie-themed activities. All showings are rated

G or PG.

NEW! Party in the Park - 4th of July

This year’s Independence Day Celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 4th at Summerly Park, 18505 Malaga Road from 9 am to 1 pm. Bring the whole family out for a morning of family-friendly activities. This event will feature a car show, kid fun zone, vendors, and music. The morning will start out with our first annual Kid’s Bike Parade, where children can decorate their bike’s, trikes, wagons, and scooters and ride with pride in a parade around the park. The City will have decorating supplies for children who would like to participate.

NEW! Family Fun Night - July 14, 2018

The Community Services Department is celebrating National Parks and Recreation month by throwing a Family Fun Night on July 14 from 6 to 8 pm at Summerly Park, 18505 Malaga Road. This evening will consist of kickball tournament and food. First 200 people will receive a hot dog, chips, and water.

National Night Out - August 2, 2018 

We are teaming up with local law enforcement agencies, fire department, and Storm baseball to provide a safe night out for families at the Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Drive from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Meet your local officers, firefighters, display vehicles, free activities and so much more! Kids ages 12 years and younger will receive free entry to the Storm game that evening starting at 6:00 p.m.

Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular - October 19, 2018

Free, fun family event on Friday, October 19, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Main Street. Costumes are encouraged. This event will feature trunk or treating, carnival games, and costume contest.

Want to decorate your trunk and have fun passing out candy? Entries are free and prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated business and the best non-business trunks.

WINTER 2018 EVENTS 

Winterfest - December 1, 2018

Thousands of people will pack Main Street Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. to help bring Downtown Lake Elsinore come alive with the holiday spirit for the annual Winterfest event!

Families will enjoy a holiday parade, bouncers, kids crafts, sled runs, food and merchandise vendors, cultural and musical entertainment, visits with SANTA. This event offers low cost or free activities for the whole family.

Vendor and parade applications will be available after September 1, 2018.

Santa Dash - December 22, 2018

On December 22 at 7:30 a.m. join us at the Levee of the Diamond Stadium as we warm up our legs before the holidays! This 5K Run/Walk is free for all and fun for the whole family. We encourage you to dress up as your favorite holiday character or tradition, the ideas are limitless! A prize will be given out for most creative outfit. Registration will take place the morning of the event.
