PLAN CHECK FEES

The Engineering Division contracts with outside firms for plan check of project related plans and land alterating documents.  The cost of the plan check is payable at the time of submittal by the project financially responsible and includes and administrative fee.  As the plan check progresses, additional fee expense may be incurred and is payable prior to permit issuance or document recordation.

 Plan check is started by submitting the following to the Engineering Division at City Hall:

Once submitted, the standard plan check review times are:

  • 1st Submittal - 3 business weeks / 21 days plus mailing time.
  • 2nd and Subsequent Submittals - 2 business weeks / 14 days plus mailling time.

Plan check expedited service is available at an additional charge of 1.5 times the standard fee.

GRADING: Locate cubic yards (total of Cut and Fill) range below; calculate fee due by following the formula provided under “Formula”; add administration fee for Total Due. The fee schedule can be viewed below or printed.

101 – 1,000 Cubic Yards:  $220.00 for the first 100 cubic yards, plus $50.00 for each additional 100 cubic yards or fraction thereof x 91%
1,001 – 10,000 Cubic Yards:

 $670.00 for the first 1,000 cubic yards, plus $50.00 for each additional 1,000 cubic yards or fraction thereof x 91%

10,001 – 100,000 Cubic Yards:

$2,830.00 for the first 10,000 cubic yards, plus $110.00 for each additional 100,000cubic yards or fraction thereof x 91%

100,001 – 400,000 Cubic Yards: $1,120.00 for the first 10,000 cubic yards, plus $190.00 for each additional 10,000 cubic yards or fraction thereof x 91%
Over 400,000 Cubic Yards:

$6,130.00 for the first 400,000 cubic yards, plus $110.00 for each additional 100,000cubic yards or fraction thereof x 91%
