Online Building Permit Applications

APPLYING FOR A BUILDING PERMIT IS A TWO-STEP PROCESS:

STEP ONE

Fill out application form by clicking on the "Fill Out Form" Icon below:

You must fill in all of the required fields (fields with red borders) and select the type of permit you are applying for from the Permit Type dropdown menu. 

Make sure you include a detailed project description and include any trades entries for Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing permits.  Initial the relevant Workers Compensation and Business License statements and electronically sign the form by typing your name in the signature line and entering the date you are applying on in the Date field.

Once you have completed the form, save it to your computer or the cloud without altering the file name or extension of the form.

YOU WILL NEED TO ATTACH THE COMPLETED FORM TO YOUR ONLINE PERMIT APPLICATION WHEN YOU ARE SUBMITTING VIA THE CSS PORTAL IN THE NEXT STEP.

IF YOU DO NOT ATTACH THE APPLICATION FORM YOU COMPLETED DURING STEP ONE TO YOUR PERMIT APPLICATION THEN STAFF WILL NOT PROCESS YOUR SUBMITTAL AND YOU WILL HAVE TO GO BACK AND START ALL OVER AGAIN.

If you do not attach a completed permit application when you submit your online permit application, your submittal will not be accepted.

STEP TWO

Submit your completed application via the Citizen's Self Service Portal by clicking on the Apply Now icon:
