LAKE ELSINORE FIRE SERVICES
The City of Lake Elsinore contracts for fire services with the Riverside County Fire Department through a cooperative agreement with Cal Fire.

Fire Department Information

In a fire emergency first dial 911 to activate the emergency response system.

Under Lake Elsinore Battalion Chief Jerry Hendershot, the Fire Department operates three paramedic fire engines from three fire stations. Our City fire protection is supplemented by two additional (Cal Fire) engines stationed at Lake Elsinore Fire Station No. 10.

Coming in 2008
Rosetta Canyon Fire Station located at Rosetta Canyon and Ardenwood. This new station is scheduled to open July 2008. It's the City's fourth fire station. It will serve as Fire department headquarters with a paramedic engine and an aerial ladder truck to serve the City's growing fire protection and EMC needs.

Paramedic Service
All fire engines are staffed with paramedics and advance life support equipment to ensure immediate medical intervention until transport to a hospital by ambulance is commenced.

Fireworks facts for City residents

  • Fireworks Ordinance (L.E.M.C. 1214)
  • Fireworks are prohibited within city limits and most of Riverside County. Fines range from $500 to $1000 per violation.
  • Illegal fireworks may be surrendered “no questions asked” when brought to any fire station for disposal.
  • Anyone using fireworks and causing a fire will be financially responsible for all firefighting costs.
  • The safest way to enjoy fireworks is at the City’s annual fireworks show over Lake Elsinore on July 4 at 9:30 p.m. Best viewing is from all City beaches, Lakepoint Park and McVicker Park.
