Ken A. Seumalo is the Director of Public Works and also serves as the City Engineer.
As a division of the Public Works Department, the Engineering Division provides technical guidelines for grading, drainage, public improvements, traffic and mapping issues. The division also plans and manages the City's Capital Improvement Program and is responsible for keeping the City's infrastructure records such as locations of city easements in the right-of-way, public street improvement details, recorded maps and centerline ties. In coordination with the Public Works Division, Engineering staff administers the Household Hazardous Waste, Recycling and Weed Abatement Programs.
Permits regulating use and activities in the public right-of-way, grading and oversize/overweight transportation are also issued through this division.
