WELCOME

The Lake Elsinore Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and classes for all ages and activity levels. Seniors can enjoy art, bingo, yoga, line dance, tai chi, computer classes and wii bowling. Active adults might sign up for our CPR and First Aid, Latin dance or Adult Ballet classes. For youth, we offer tiny tots programs, parent & me, kids art, martial arts instruction and a variety of dance classes.

The City provides a variety of resources and social services to low income and senior residents through our Senior Activity Center programs. We offer food distribution, tax assistance, legal aide, health screenings and social networking.

Activity Guide

Each year, we also host several special events to celebrate our community. From the annual " Children's Fair" and "Just 4 Kids Fishing Derby" to the "Movies in the Park" or "Unity 5K & 10K Run Walk" events, residents enjoy our beautiful parks and natural surroundings. With the " Unity in the Community Parade" and " Winterfest" we see our neighbors come together in Historic Downtown Lake Elsinore.

MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Recreation Division of the Lake, Parks and Recreation Department to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing diverse services and programs that promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural, and physical well-being of its residents and visitors.

PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT GOALS:

Provide clean and safe parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities.
Provide efficient services to Lake Elsinore residents and visitors.
Effectively plan for the future needs of Lake Elsinore residents.
Continually strive to improve existing facilities while seeking opportunities for future development.
Create a partnership with the Lake Elsinore community to improve the quality of life for all citizens.

MASTER PLAN

The City of Lake Elsinore Parks and Recreation Master Plan contains action plans (recommendations) to help guide decision-making relating to parks, recreation, programs, open space, and facilities within the city for the next twenty-two (22) years. This plan is a concise summary of all of the policy initiatives that should be pursued to meet the recreation needs of the Lake Elsinore community.
