The City of Lake Elsinore has a permit application available to the private property owner(s) of lake front property. Private property owners wishing to camp on their lakefront properties are entitled to do so; however to mitigate all other trespassing and other illegal activity, the City of Lake Elsinore Municipal Code requires that those private property owners obtain a special camping permit from the Code Enforcement Division at City Hall before camping overnight.
