The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness and provides valuable training. CERT participants learn about hazards in their area, disaster preparedness equipment and tactics and basic disaster response skills, including:
The City of Lake Elsinore has partnered with the Riverside County Office of Emergency Services to provide CERT training in our area. The training is a commitment of 20 hours, at no cost to participants. Participants who successfully complete a combination of classroom and hands-on instruction in fire suppression, search & rescue, cribbing and field medical procedures will receive a certificate upon completion of the class. 2016 CERT Training Schedule
Currently all CERT Classes have been postponed until after July 1, 2016 and will be scheduled to commence in the Fall of 2016. Each CERT Class is subject to be cancelled if a minimum of 30 participants are not registered a week prior to the start date of the first class.
