Economic Development
At its heart, economic development is about building healthy economies in order to have healthy communities where all can live, work, and play, build futures and fulfill dreams.
The Economic Development team in Lake Elsinore is led by the City Manager's Office at City Hall, and acts as a liaison between City government and the business community with support from the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Lake Elsinore had the fastest growing population over the past decade of any California City, and the fourth fastest in the Nation. We are a young community with a rich history dating back to the late 1800's, who is driven by action and adventure. The City has a population of 70,265, and our residents median age is 36.2.
In the last few years, more than 2,500 single family units and 128 multi-family units were built. There is an additional 18,495 residential units that have been approved for future development projects and are planned for accommodation in specific plans.
