Honoring the Brave Men and Women Who Have Served Our Country

Veterans Memorial

In 2014, the City of Lake Elsinore unveiled its long-awaited Veterans Memorial to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served to protect our country and our freedom.

The City's custom Veterans Memorial is located in the main entryway of Diamond Stadium and includes two monument areas. The upper memorial area is a large, custom premium black granite monument etched with the depiction of a soldier in front of a fallen soldier's battlefield grave. The grave is marked by the rifle, helmet, dog tags and the boots of a fallen soldier. This has become a well-known symbol of respect and honor those lost in battle and is a practice that dates back to the American Civil War.

The lower monument area includes five premium granite pedestals with the insignia for each of the branches surrounding a flag pole with lighting. Finally, the memorial includes the engraving of the surrounding bricks that Veterans and/or their families can purchase to honor their service. To date, 358 bricks have been engraved.

Veterans Memorial Brick Program

The City of Lake Elsinore Veterans Memorial Brick Program is a great way to honor a special veteran in your life by engraving a brick with their name, rank, and/or years of service. Brick requests may be made all year and new bricks are engraved and unveiled at a special Veterans Day Observance Ceremony at Diamond Stadium each year.

The cost per brick is $85 and includes three lines of content. Each line only allows 20 letters, spaces, and/or other punctuation. The first line includes name and rank, the second line branch and year and the third line allows for any miscellaneous note. Suggested abbreviations: BRNZ (Bronze), SLVR (Silver), PRPL (Purple). Symbols of hearts and stars are now available.

Bricks will only be engraved once per year prior to Veterans Day prior to Veterans Day. Bricks must be requested at least three weeks prior to Veterans Day to be engraved for that year.

Lake Elsinore's Mayor, Bob Magee paid tribute to our veterans and the ceremony hosted special keynote speaker, Riverside County Sheriff, Chad Bianco.
