The City of Lake Elsinore and surrounding cities (Menifee, Murrieta, and Temecula) are showcasing free, healthy programs during the summer months aimed at getting individuals out of the house and exploring the unique activities in each community!

Lake Elsinore will be hosting "Senior Fit and Strong" from 9 am to 10 am, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting July 11 until July 25 at the Lake Elsinore Senior Activity Center. In addition to this activity, the City of Lake Elsinore will also hold "Drop In Basketball" at the Lake Community Center on every Thursday in July, from 6 pm to 9 pm for ages 18 and up. For the younger kids in the community, the Lake Community Center will offer "Parent and Me Gymnastics" for ages 1.5 to 3 years old on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 2 pm which is designed to be a special time for parents and little ones alike. Also, residents and members from surrounding communities are welcome to partake in Lake Elsinore's Free Fit events, "Zumba in the Park" on July 22, from 8 am to 9:30 am at Summerly Community Park and "A.R.I.S.E. Walk in the Park" on July 29, at Lakepoint Park from 9 am - 10 am. Registration is required for "Parent and Me Gymnastics" and can be done on the Lake Elsinore Catalog website. Menifee will offer "Basketball Clinic", July 17 through July 21, no class July 19. The clinic will be held at Audie Murphy Ranch Sports Park. Ages 5 to 8 years will be at 4 pm to 6 pm and ages 9 to 12 years from 6 pm to 8 pm. To help beat the heat, the City of Menifee will also be offering "Indoor Pilates", on Wednesdays starting July 12 through August 2 from 9 am to 10 am at Community Services Department: West Annex. Murrieta will be hosting "Self Defense Class" on Tuesdays, starting July 11 until July 25, from 6 pm to 7 pm at Murrieta Community Center. Along with "Self Defense Class", Murrieta will be hosting "Tai Chi" at Town Square Park, every Wednesday in July from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm This program will be followed up by Thursday "Longevity Stick ", a class that emphasizes stretching of the body using a long stick. Sticks will be provided for the first 25 participants. Temecula will offer "Special Needs Water Walking" at Temecula Elementary School Pool, on Saturdays from 9 am to 9:45 am starting July 1 through July 29. This program will be followed up by "Shallow Water Aerobics" on Saturdays starting July 1 through July 29, from 10 am to 10:45 am at Temecula Elementary School Pool. On Wednesdays, Temecula will also be offering their popular "Sunset Yoga in the Park" at various parks throughout the city from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm for ages 8 and up.
