Bicycle Registration

An LEPD approved registration service for bicycles

Bicycles

Overview

The City of Lake Elsinore and the Lake Elsinore Police Department encourage all City residents to register their bicycles through the National Bicycle Registry, a program of the National Council on Crime Prevention.

How to Register Your Bicycle

A bicycle registration is good for ten years. A one-time fee is payable online at time of registration. See the official National Bicycle Registry website for program details and online registration instructions.

Tip: You must enter your bicycle serial number to register. Most bike manufacturers stamp or affix a serial number on the bottom of the pedal bracket.

Reporting a Lost or Stolen Bicycle

Once enrolled, your bicycle serial number is the key to recovering your bike if it is ever lost or stolen. Using the registry, the LEPD or any other law enforcement agency will be able to notify you if your property is recovered.
