Administrative Bureau
The Administrative Bureau is composed of Law Enforcement Professionals who work alongside the Chief of Police. The bureau is split into two divisions, Administration and Patrol. Heading these two divisions are Lieutenant Kevin Smith and Lieutenant John Magnan.

Detective Bureau
This Detective Bureau unit supports the patrol function at the Lake Elsinore Police Department by responding to critical incidents, major crime scenes, and by completing follow-up investigations to original crime reports initiated by patrol deputies.

Traffic Bureau
The Traffic Bureau officers conduct various enforcement details including school zones, traffic complaints, and special events.

Patrol
The Patrol Bureau responds to calls for police services placed to the LEPD, either through the 911 system, or through non-emergency phones via the Dispatch Center. The patrol deputies handle the initial investigations of thefts, burglaries, robberies, assaults, and all other felony, misdemeanor, and public service calls.

The mission of the Lake Patrol is first and foremost the safety of the public, who use the lake and adjacent parks and beaches.

Crime Free Multi-Housing Program
The City of Lake Elsinore and the Lake Elsinore Police Department proudly support the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program. This program is a combined effort of law enforcement, property owners/managers and tenants with a common interest of reducing crime and promoting a safer quality of life. This program is offered throughout the city at no cost.
