Fire Inspections

Fire Systems inspectors are responsible for visiting and inspecting projects which may include residential and commercial buildings/structures, fire systems, new businesses, schools, open spaces, and special events.  This is not an all-inclusive list, so feel free to call our office to inquire about whether we will be able to assist you. Inspectors ensure that these items comply with all local and State codes and ordinances and identify potential fire hazards and work to prevent fires before they occur. 

Inspectors for the City of Lake Elsinore Office of the Fire Marshal are also available to educate our citizens and answer any questions regarding fire safety and prevention.

How to Schedule Inspections

Inspections should be called into our Inspection Line at (951) 674-3124 ex. 250, 72 hours prior to the date of request. Inspections may also be requested via the Lake Elsinore Office of the Fire Marshal email address at LakeElsinoreOFM@lake-elsinore.org

Please provide contact information, a valid permit number, the project address, type of inspection. If the inspection is for a Tract, please provide the Tract number, name, phase and number of lots. 

Please note that if a job card has been issued, it will need to be on site for all inspections. 

Business License Inspections

The Fire Department conducts business license inspections to promote fire safety for business owners, their employees, and the general public. The forms below have been developed to assist business owners in making their business a safer place, as well as to prepare for business fire inspection.
