Project Overview

The Murrieta Creek Multi-Use Trail project is a funded through the Active Transportation Program (ATP) created by Senate Bill 99 and Assembly Bill 101. The project will connect the non-motorist residents of the East Lake District to the north and east parts of the City. The Project will provide trail connectivity between existing Lake Levee Trail and the Palomar Trail.

The project entails construction of a 1.3 mile regional multi-use trail that would include safety improvements for non-motorists, safety fences, retaining walls, span bridge structure, Arizona crossings and more. The proposed trail would be a 10-foot-wide AC paved section with wooden post railing on each side. The project is currently under construction with a completion date of October 2026.
