Code Enforcement patrols all areas of the City and cars parked on residential streets during prohibited days and hours may receive a citation. Street sweeping is mandated for the City to prevent pollution of our waterways. As such, cars parked on the street force the sweeper to miss some areas of the curb when the street is swept.
The City has an agreement with CR&R Incorporated Environmental Services to street sweep all residential streets twice each month. Major arterial streets and commercial areas are swept once each week. All entrances to residential housing tracts are posted with no parking signs that include the day and times when parking is prohibited for street sweeping in accordance with the requirements set forth in the California Vehicle Code.
Please keep the following guidelines in mind for street sweeping service:
- Please move all vehicles off the street during the times/days posted for street sweeping. Parking is prohibited between 8 am and 4 pm during designated street sweeping days. Read more to Find Your Designated Street Sweeping Day (PDF).
- Please ensure all trash containers and recreational items such as basketball hoops are removed from the gutter area on your service day.
- Don't rake or blow leaves/grass into the gutter or streets. Instead, place them inside of your green waste container to be picked up on your scheduled collection day.
Street sweeping services are not performed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If your sweeping day falls on any of the holidays mentioned, your street will be swept on your next regularly scheduled street sweeping day.
Street sweeping services are provided by CR&R Incorporated Environmental Services. Sweeping operations may not occur during inclement weather (e.g. heavy rain and high winds). Please call CR&R at 951-943-1991 on inclement weather days to receive the updated information.
